OVERVIEW If diagnosis has verified that the remote generator control box harness is good, replacement of just the control box itself is advised. This will generally save the time necessary to remove the old harness and route the new one. INSTALLATION  Remove the screws from the rear of the old remote generator control box.  Disconnect the ribbon cable from the circuit board (Figure 1). Figure 2 – Cut wires  Remove the conduit nut and carefully pull the harness out of the control box.  Repeat the above steps on the new control box  Insert the old harness into the new control box.  Connect the ribbon cable to the circuit board.  Using a butt connector (not supplied), splice the red wire from the harness to the 2 red wires connected to the circuit board.  Using a butt connector (not supplied), splice the black wire from the harness to the 2 black wires connected to the circuit board.  Secure the conduit nut to the control box.  Install the control box cover.  Test the remote generator control box functions.
