OVERVIEW Some 2020+ GM and Chevrolet vehicles with push button ignition may be equipped with automatic shutdown timers. These systems are designed to shut the engine off under following conditions: • Vehicle parked and running, with the key fob inside the vehicle: up to 1 hour. • Vehicle parked and running, with the key fob outside the vehicle: up to 1/2 hour. As the VMAC system is designed to only operate while the vehicle is in “PARK”, the shut down timer may be trigged while the VMAC is in use.
