Using a 5/16” (8mm) flex drive (or flat head screwdriver if flex drive is unavailable), loosen the gear clamp from around the hose. Remove the air inlet hose. (Figure 3) Oil may be present inside air inlet tube. Figure 3 On the front of the compressor, locate and remove the three M6 bolts used to retain the air inlet cover assembly to the compressor body. The O-Ring can be easily dislodged from compressor body. Heavy grease may be used to ensure O-ring stays in place. Figure 5 Install the replacement Air Inlet Cover Assembly. Apply Loctite© 242 (Blue) and re-install the three M6 locating bolts. Reinstall the air inlet hose over the inlet spigot and the ¼” PTFE hose into the fitting. Test the inlet hose and spigot installation by pulling lightly on the inlet hose. The inlet hose should be secure, showing no signs of movement. Check WHASP tank oil level, add oil if required. Ensure all lines and wiring are routed and secured so that they do not come in contact with any hot areas, sharp edges or moving parts. Confirm vehicle is safe to start. Start vehicle and start the compressor. Allow compressor to “blowdown” and inspect compressor body for oil leaks. O-Ring
