See the VMAC Application List for specific UNDERHOODTM kit model numbers: https://www.vmacair.com/application-lists/ Overview Background The VMAC UNDERHOODTM kits referenced above cannot be installed in trucks equipped with dual alternators until the trucks are converted to a single alternator system. Resolution • The vehicle needs to be taken to a RAM dealer prior to removing the secondary alternator. RAM’s technicians will utilize the wiTECH™ service tool to re-program the trucks factory Firmware to disable the second alternator. This eliminates the need to jumper or splice any wires. • Convert the FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive) from dual alternator belt and routing, to single alternator belt and routing.
