Procedure Warm the hydraulic system The vehicle hydraulic system must be up to the Predatair’s required operating temperature (41°F/ 5°C) and ready to run before performing this test. Locate/Identify case drain hose 1) The Case drain hose is a ¼” ID hose located between a 90° spigot on the end of the hydraulic motor and a straight spigot above the “RETURN OUT” port on the hydraulic manifold. (Figure 1) Figure 1 Prepare hoses 2) Loosen the upper case drain hose clamp and disconnect hose from 90° spigot on hydraulic motor. (Figure 2) Hose clamp may require replacement for proper reassembly after test is complete. (Figure 4) Figure 4 5) Have a timer/stopwatch ready. Start and run the Predatair for one minute and monitor the amount of oil that flows through the temporary hose from the hydraulic motor into the cup. (Figure 5) An amount exceeding 4 fluid ounces in one minute indicates excessive wear in the hydraulic motor and the need to replace the hydraulic motor. Figure 5
