SYSTEM OR PARTS AFFECTED
•
A800070 Air AfterCooler (Eliminator).
•
VMAC G30 Gas Powered Air Compressor Systems & Air Compressor/Generator, and Gas Multifunction Power Systems (GMF) engine.
OVERVIEW
•
The systems listed above have a battery charging capacity that is sufficient for keeping the battery charged while running the onboard electronics, compressor cooling fan, and starter.
•
Additional demand on the above systems created by the direct connection of accessories with an electrical draw, such as the Eliminator, will exceed the capacity of the battery charging system resulting in an excessively discharged onboard battery.
Onboard cooling fans in Subaru and Honda powered VMAC air compressor systems require a fully charged battery to operate correctly. Jump starting or pull starting the Subaru or Honda Engine in a VMAC air compressor system due to a discharged battery will result in an overheated compressor.
RECOMMENDATION
The Eliminator can be used with G30/GMF systems if the Eliminator is powered by an auxiliary battery that is receiving a charge from an outside source, e.g. a battery that is charged by a vehicle’s charging system.
An auxiliary battery used to power the Eliminator will require constant charge during Eliminator operation to prevent excessive battery discharge.
GMF0001 GAS MULTIFUNCTION POWER SYSTEM
•
In this configuration the Eliminator will be powered whenever the compressor is operating (Figure 1).
Connect the red wire from the Eliminator to the auxiliary + 12 v power source (e.g. aux. battery).
Connect the green Wire from the Eliminator to a good ground, common to the auxiliary 12 v power source.
Connect the white wire from the Eliminator to the white wire to the GMF compressor clutch.

G30 GAS POWERED AIR COMPRESSOR SYSTEMS & AIR COMPRESSOR/GENERATOR,
•
When used with a G30 Gas Powered Air Compressor Systems & Air Compressor/Generator, the Eliminator is wired completely independent of the G30.
•
In this configuration the Eliminator will be powered and operational whenever the operator switches it on (Figure 2).
Connect the red wire from the Eliminator to the auxiliary + 12 v power source (e.g. aux. battery).
Connect the green Wire from the Eliminator to a good ground, common to the auxiliary 12 v power source.
There is no switched power available on a G30 to trigger an Eliminator. A switch will be required to provide + 12 v from the auxiliary power source, ideally key-switched power, and the Eliminator will be manually switched on and off independent of the G30.
