This creates a closed loop through the Hydraulic Manifold to warm the hydraulic fluid. Once the hydraulic fluid has warmed sufficiently the Control Box switches a ground to open the solenoid allowing hydraulic flow to the hydraulic cooler and motor. Field Test – (Figure 1)  Turn on the Truck Hydraulics.  Check the Display Box for errors.  Clean Solenoid and Solenoid Poppet Valve to ensure no debris is preventing it from actuating.  Ensure that the PREDATAIR is turned “Off” at the display box.  Disconnect the Hydraulic Solenoid connector and apply 12V from an external source (such as the battery) and ground to the solenoid wires (Shown in Red).  Listen for the Hydraulic motor and/or the compressor to start. This process is intended to test the Hydraulic Solenoid only. Once you have confirmed that the Solenoid opens and allows Hydraulic Fluid to circulate to the motor remove the ground to close the Solenoid.  Turn power on to the PREDATAIR.  With the hydraulic solenoid disconnected, measure the voltage coming out the control box connector by grounding one probe and measuring voltage with other on each of the Red wires. There should be 12V on each wire. o If there is no voltage or less than 12V check wires for continuity. o If the wires have good continuity replace the Control Box.  If the PREDATIAR does not start then both the Solenoid Poppet Valve (P/N# 4500129) and the Solenoid Coil (P/N# 4500130) need to be replaced (these come assembled).
