This can be used as a guide for setting later in the installation. Instruction: Do not mix regulator sub components as they are not interchangeable. Incorrect assembly of this product can cause system damage or severe injury. 1. Remove the Regulator Setting Bolt and retain it for use later in this instruction 2. Remove the existing regulator assembly from the inlet valve. The seat may not be removable from the inlet valve depending on the type of valve. a. If the seat is flush with the lower surface of the regulator do not remove the seat as this will damage the inlet valve. b. If the seat is sitting on the lower surface of the regulator remove the seat with caution. 3. If the seat can be removed, install the new seat with the chamfered edge of the seat facing the front of the inlet valve, away from the air filter. Apply a small amount of grease to install. 4. Install the rubber diaphragm into the regulator on the valve with the ball surface of the diaphragm facing the seat. 5. Install the regulator spring over the diaphragm ensuring correct placement over the brass guide. 6. Install the brass spring seat onto the spring with the ball facing the air filter end of the valve. 7. Before installing the regulator cover, remove any burrs around thread to prevent galling. 8. Hand tighten until cover is in contact with rubber diaphragm. Tighten additional 1/8 turn, or till secure. 9. Discard the Philips Head Setting Bolt included in the Fastener pack. Over tightening the regulator cover may damage rubber diaphragm. 10. Install Regulator Setting Screw (retained from Step 1) and Jam Nut. Hand tighten until you feel spring resistance. 11. Set pressure regulator in accordance with owner’s manual instructions. Final pressure setting 150 PSI.
