This will help in preventing oil misting from, or oil coming out of the blowdown muffler. 1. Locate the 1/4in white PTFE line coming out of the WHASP tank (Figure 1). Figure 1 2. Push the brass collet in and pull the PTFE line out of the fitting (Figure 1). 3. Install the Inline Check Valve, short PTFE line end into the fitting on the WHASP tank. Ensure the arrows on the Check Valve are pointing away from the WHASP tank (Figure 2 red arrow) 4. Shorten the original PTFE line to ensure that, when reconnected, the line will not kink and the line will return to its original routing. When cutting the PTFE line ensure that a tube cutter or a sharp knife is used and the PTFE line is cleanly cut at 90°. Do not use plier-style cutters. Connect the free end of the PTFE line into the Check Valve Assembly. Lubricate the tube and firmly push it into the fitting so that it fully seats past the internal O-ring. Slide the collet back to lock tubing in place. Test the connection by gently pulling back the PTFE line. The collet should not move (Figure 2 blue arrows). Figure 2 5. Start the unit up using proper starting procedures and verify that there are no air or oil leaks coming from the newly installed Check Valve Assembly. Turn the unit off using proper shut down procedures. If you have any questions, please contact VMAC Technical Support at 1-888-241-2289
